Changes to dutiable dealings

Publish date:

Due to changes made to the Duties Act 1997 (State Revenue and Fines Legislation Amendment Act 2022), several dealings lodged with NSW Land Registry Services now require duty to be assessed by Revenue NSW. The electronic versions of the Transfer Creating a Forestry Right and Transfer Creating a Profit a’ Prendre have been upgraded to enable assessment within the electronic workspace. These upgrades commence on 28 October 2023.

Please contact NSW Land Registry Services if you require assistance on how to complete the updated electronic dealings. If you have questions regarding transfer duty for your particular transaction, please contact Revenue NSW on 1300 139 814.

Further changes will be made to other electronic dealings that have also become dutiable. We will keep you updated on their expected release.
