The Office of the Registrar General (ORG) is responsible for overseeing the integrity, security, availability and performance of the NSW land title system. We maintain the policy and legislative framework for well-defined property rights in NSW. We are at the intersection of law, technology and regulation. We are regulating title operations, digitalising the system and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the State cadastre while putting the customer at the centre of our decision making.

Senior Lawyer (Grade 9/10 ongoing role)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lawyer to join the ORG. This role provides high standard legal and policy advice on legislation governing registration of title, the NSW Land and Property Information concession, the conveyancing process, eConveyancing, the Torrens Assurance Fund, survey practice, and valuation of land and the development of real estate in NSW.

The role will be working in the Litigation and Policy team, with a focus eConveyancing and policy. You will assist the team to continue to manage the eConveyancing reform including providing advice on Model Operating Requirements, Model Participation Rules and Subscriber Compliance Guidance, as well as other legislative and policy projects.

Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10
Salary range: $116,211 - $128,061 per annum + superannuation
