Update to Mainstream Dealings Exceptions Waiver

Publish date:

Since issuing the Mainstream Dealings Exceptions Waiver, the Registrar General has become aware of further transactions that are not able to be lodged electronically. For example, please see the duties verification waiver page on the Revenue NSW website. NSW Land Registry Services will now accept paper lodgment if the lodging party has written evidence from Revenue NSW or an ELNO that a transaction cannot be processed electronically.

The previous waiver which allowed unrepresented mortgagees to lodge mortgages and discharges of mortgage in paper has now been limited to situations where the mortgagee is an individual. Banks and other corporate mortgagees must lodge these dealings electronically.

The amendments to the Mainstream Dealings Exceptions Waiver commenced on 1 August 2019.
